About Dr. Vijaykumar Malladi

Dr. Vijaykumar Malladi is a practising minimal access surgeon at MITR Hospital, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, with a focus on general surgery and surgical gastroenterology. He is a Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon for general, gastrointestinal and hernia surgery, and a Director of MITR Healthcare Private Limited.

He completed his medical graduation and postgraduate surgical training in Mumbai. He undertook one-year basic laparoscopic training at Shrikhande Clinic, Mumbai, under Dr Anand Nande, and completed a two-year advanced fellowship at GEM Hospital, Coimbatore, under Dr. C. Palanivelu. He is a Founder Member of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) and has contributed to surgical education through publications, book chapters and invited talks. His approach to minimally invasive surgery emphasises helping suitable patients return to everyday activities sooner.
